We’re very excited to tell you that one of our kitchen designs has been featured in the March 2016 issue of Self Build & Design magazine. On this project, we worked with Cynthia Garcia of Garcia Designs to create a light and spacious kitchen design in the lower level of a central London townhouse, situated in the borough of Westminster.
The article details every aspect of the project, which re-modeled the centrally located townhouse from top to bottom, creating an elegant and sophisticated home and making the most of the Victorian features throughout the building. The article also describes some of the changes we were involved with to improve the kitchen area downstairs:
“The kitchen and dining area on the lower floor had always felt cramped and dark, but with a new layout featuring Shaker-style units in a bright colour, together with improved lighting, the space was transformed. A glass panel in the floor of the small terrace above the sink brings in natural light and a utility area and computer desk were cleverly concealed within the joinery units for a clean, yet classic look. The staircase was also given a makeover with straight balusters, bespoke-designed newel posts and beautifully stained and polished handrails.”

It was a real honour to work with Garcia Designs, a stunning interior design company which recently earned the accolade of ‘Best in the UK’ in the Development Property Single Unit category at the final of the International Property Awards for their Knightsbridge Residence. It’s not their first award for excellence in interior design and we’re sure it won’t be the last.
